Combining multiple Time Machine external drives on Mac

Each time I get a new desktop or laptop I buy and use a new external HD for Time Machine. So I have multiple HD with old Time Machine data... Can you combine the data on each HD thus having one HD instead of multiple Time Machine HDs?
