Wifi says it's connected and has internet, but doesn't work at all

It says I'm connected to wifi and it doesn't say anything's wrong, but I have no internet unless I use my data. I am at my wits end and I have tried everything I can think of. I've tried:

  • Resetting my network settings
  • Deleting all VPN configurations
  • Forgetting the WiFi connection
  • Restarting my phone
  • Restarting my router
  • Switching my DNS configuration from automatic to manual
  • Using NextDNS to try to fix it

This only started happening after I used the AdGuard DNS in manual, even after I removed it and did all that was mentioned. Do I need to take my phone in to apple? is there something I'm not seeing here?

My iPhone is a 13 Pro Max, and it is running iOS 18.01

Well, you should upgrade to 18.1, but that isn’t your problem.

Did you delete the VPN profile(s) in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn off; delete the profile.

Did you Reset Network Settings after removing the VPN configurations and AdGuard DNS?

Your DNS should be set to automatic. Why are you using the totally useless AdGuard DNS rather than the built in iCloud+ Private Relay?
