Playback volume issues with Sequoia 15.1

I just purchased a MacBook Pro M4. It came with Sequoia pre-installed and I set it up using Migration Assistant from my 2016 MacBook Pro (Intel). Everything went smoothly and I find most things run well, but I am having major problems with playback volume, both on the internal speakers and on bluetooth connections. The volume is very low, even with it set at its highest level on the computer.


I see that this is a known issues. Is there any workaround or fix, or do we have to wait for Apple to decide it's worth their while to fix it in the next update?
