Apple TV 4K and audio sharing issues

i used to be able to share audio with 2 sets of AirPods Pro 2 .. lately the sharing feature has developed a problem .. audio sharing starts to fail after about a minute of viewing any video. The sound starts to breakup and over about 30 seconds or so it fades to no sound at all and yet the video continues to play.


the OS for the Apple TV is up to date (tvOS 18.1)and the firmware for the AirPods Pro are up to date (Firmware:7B21) as well
