IOS files missing

I used to have the 50GB icloud storage, and always depended on my macbook for work, without care of the icloud sync.

Now as i upgraded the icloud storage to 2TB so all files will be accessible on my iphone too;

many recent files are not visible anymore, even though their folder is visible.

In other words, the past week i worked on many excel files which i saved on my macbook in new folders. After i upgraded the icloud storage, the folder is visible, but the files are not.

I tried to search in the trash, nothing there too.

Please note that i also have the icloud drive on including the desktop and documents.

Any help please?
