iPhone 16 pro max has terrible video stabilization compared to the 13 pro max, highly dissapponting

my favorite thing about my previous iPhone, which was the 13 pro max was its great stabilization for video taking. The only reason I upgraded to the 16 pro max was for a camera upgrade, and I truly regret my decision to upgrade. It feels like a huge downgrade in terms of video stabilization, which it basically has NONE. I truly feel like I’m going backwards in time with this. I’m hoping and praying that this is something that can be resolved with in the next software update.

I don’t want to use “action” mode because it lowers the quality, and this feature should be built into the regular ‘video’ setting.

I also have a stabilizer but that is so inconvenient for me to have to carry around with me every time I want to take a video.

This is the biggest downside for me with the iPhone 16.

My iPhone 16 Pro Max has great video stabilization. I had the 15 Pro Max and the 16 PM is even better. This really sounds like your iPhone may need service. Do you have any examples you can share? YouTube is full of videos showcasing the image stabilization on the iPhone 16 Pro models. Have you seen these music video? They couldn’t have been done without great image stabilization.
