Latest Final Cut Pro update

Final Cut Pro updated today and it is completely unusable on my M2 macbook air. Before this update it ran perfectly smooth, never any issues whatsoever. No matter where I click with the mouse it takes up to a minute to react. I finally managed to get to the render window and clicked render, 7 minutes later I'm still looking at a loading tab which says "Preparing media for share...." - I never saw that before and I've been using Final Cut Pro for about ten years. What a disaster!

I haven't noticed any performance differences on my system except that the new version seems to launch much faster than the previous version.

If it is concerning, Etrecheck will give a (safe and anonymous) overview of your system and can reveal potential bottlenecks in both software and hardware.

Do try deleting preferences first, as Meg suggested.

If deleting preferences does not fix it: Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.
