Opening a new empty tab (in Safari)

Hello!

I'd like to know if there's a way or a hotkey to set new tabs to open as an empty page instead of Homepage which I've set under Safari/General settings. I know that I can set my tabs to always open as an empty page (New tabs open with: Empty page) but I want my default hotkey (Cmd+T) to open my Homepage, and some other one to open an empty new tab. Is there a workaround?

It would be great to know that!

Hello!

I’d go about it the other way around:

In Safari > Settings, configure “News tabs open with” to “Empty Page.” Then in the Shortcuts application, create a new shortcut, add the AppleScript action and configure it so (replace”favorites://“ with the actual URL of your Homepage, or any other URL for that matter):

Still in Shortcuts, click ⓘ (top right), click “Add Keyboard Shortcut” and choose the key combination that suits you. Save the shortcut and you should be good to go.
