MacOS Smart Playlist woes

Just made the switch over to TV from iTunes. From a library management standpoint, management is as hamstrung and near-futile as I thought it would be. I have been trying to create working keyboard shortcuts because of a lack of view consistency, for example to view a smart playlist as a list of episodes.

1) Keyboard Shortcuts

Added Keyboard shortcut via keyboard settings:

Menu portion:

I have typed: View->as List

I have typed: as List

I have typed: View > as List

Keys portion:

I have used command control +

I have used opt control +

I have used opt com L

I have used opt com '

Nothing works in app. Are keyboard shortcuts not allowed in Sequoia's version of the TV app or am I just not getting the setup right?

2) Views and sorting in playlists aren't persisting. Can I set a default by editing a plist file somewhere? If so, what do I need to change?

3) Smart Playlists aren't respecting the view order from the TV app on the Mac, even when:

  • the view options and order are reset in the playlist
  • additionally, "copy to view order" has been selected
  • I have tried unchecking "live updating" (which finally worked for one playlist), but doesn't this mean my tv shows won't update as I import in new library files??
