So I just updated to FCP11 and rendering and playback are taking forever which used to be really fast. Any ideas?

So I just rewinded a clip and usually back in FCPX, I could playback buttery smooth but in FCP11 it's choppy and takes forever to render this simple effect. Any ideas?
