Earlier models of the Watch used a ceramic. The S10 uses something else, either nylon or aluminium or something else. Any suggestions as to what the material is. I thought mention was made of this at the release or the S10 last September.

I didn't hear any such announcement from any reliable source. There were rumors in the media that Apple would release a plastic-bodied Apple Watch, but that hasn't happened, at least not yet and definitely not with the Series 10.

Apple states in this article that there are now using 100% recycled aluminum and 95% recycled titanium for the back rather than ceramic material. As I stated above, I believe the glass is sapphire crystal.
Allergy sufferers may be in for a shock because the 5% non-recycled titanium may include some lead.
It should be listed in the fine print on the bottom. Is your watch titanium or aluminum. I believe it’s sapphire crystal.
Thanks. It certainly looks like aluminium but I have this vague recollection that at the release the announcer said that some other material was going to be used for the S10, I think nylon was mentioned. I guess my memory is faulty.
The entire back of the Watch other than the sensor crystal is now made of the same material as the rest of the body, aluminum or titanium.
