You have that backwards. It’s up to Libre to make it compatible.

You can find a compatibility chart here.

You will notice that they haven’t updated for compatibility since ios 16… It’s unclear whether the problems people report are hardware or software related.

I can tell you that I was able to successfully use an iPhone 15 running ios 18.1 to monitor a freestyle libre 2 device for a week… My dog is diabetic and the vet wanted a continuous monitor on her instead of trying to stick her paws every hour.

Abbott, the maker of the Freestyle Libre, has known and admitted for a while now that there glucose meters don't work with iPhones. Not sure who you spoke with at Abbott but they are misinformed.

Yet their advertising continues to portray people using their phones to check their numbers…

I was lucky I got the Libre 2 to work with my iphone 15. I was concerned having seen so many reports here of problems. I really didn’t want to have to spend another $100 on one of their handheld monitors just so I could track a device for a week…

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll spend what I have to to ensure my pup’s health, but this shouldn’t be rocket science.
