Now TV app does not launch from up next on top shelf

If I select an episode from the up next queue on the Home Screen top shelf instead of opening the Now TV app it opens the Apple TV app instead and I then have to select Open In… and choose Now TV (the only app available for this show). Other apps such as Disney+ or Amazon Prime all launch straight into their respective apps.
