Traffic Notifications when Maps Not in Use

I've scoured the internet trying to work out how to turn this off; no answers yet.

I recently updated to the new iOS 18.1, since then I have noticed traffic notifications of an 'incident ahead' are being spoken when my phone is connected to Bluetooth while driving.

This would be totally normal, except for two things:

1. It's happening when I'm not using the Maps app (and I don't use any other app for directions)
2. The alert comes through even when there's no traffic incident ahead and traffic is clear.

No other phone connected to the car does this. How do I turn it off?
