Faulty laptop charger TINGLING when touching on finger tips
I am now on my third charger that does that.
The last one is the C type, bought I think 1 year ago. It was OK and just today it started behaving like this.
Basically I took first other two apart (which is NOT easy as they are glued together).
The problem is with the smoothing capacitor for removing the ac ripple. I found one to have a dry joint and on the other it was not even soldered at the factory ( just the legs put through the holes)
Although others describe it as "safe" and it probably is safe in terms of voltage, it is not good for the batteries to be charged with so much ripple as they would heat up more. Also the other components in the charger would heat up.
In the charger with the capacitor not even soldered at the factory, it would get much hotter.
So there you have it. POOR components and assembly.
