Thank you for your response.

I’ve had my 16 PM about two weeks (not long, admittedly) but I don’t recall my 15 PM taking as long to settle in.

I did discover that my 16 PM had background app refresh enabled and I DISTINCTLY recall shutting this off on my 15 PM.

When I set up my 16, I set it up directly from iCloud backup and that setting SHOULD HAVE transferred, but didn’t.

I also notice that my 16 gets slightly warmer sooner than my 15 did. I attribute this however to the higher click speed of the A18 processor.

Again, thank you for your attention to my post it is appreciated.

Your welcome. I’ve had mine since launch. It took, mine about 3 to 4 days to settle down, but it sounds like yours had a few issues during the data transfer and sync that might have caused some minor issues. You’re correct the higher clock speed will generate more heat.

If you're on iOS 18.1 and have Apple intelligence enabled, that will add additional days and heat during the process. AI needs to learn the apps and data on your iPhone.

If you’re concerned a little do a forced restart of you iPhone. It does more than just your iPhone off and back on.
