I have 68 identical refund requests, but Apple approved only one and rejected the remaining 67

I submitted 68 refund requests because my child made in-game purchases on the Apple Store without my permission. The refund requests and the amounts were essentially identical, but Apple approved only one and rejected the remaining 67. I submitted a review request, but it was also denied. I don’t understand why, if refunds were not allowed, they still approved one of my requests instead of rejecting all of them.

Is there any way to send an email or directly chat with someone to request a reconsideration? The current amount is $400-500, which is a significant sum for me.

In most cases all transactions in the App Store are final and on some occasions Apple may issue a compassionate refund. That may be one or two, but not 68. You are given the tools to protect your device, but you must use them. You can:

  • Require a password for purchases
  • Prevent in-app purchases
  • Prevent any downloads from the App Store

If you are using Purchase Sharing on a Family Plan, you are authorizing members to make purchases to your payment method. Also if someone knows the Passcode to your device, you are authorizing them to use it, and that includes purchases. You can't give them that access without providing at least one of those measures to prevent purchases if that is something your child is going to do.
