What should I do if my Apple Gift Card is redeemed?

In the future, do not purchase a Gift Card that is displayed on a rack in the store where anyone can tamper with it. You were likely scammed right at the store where you purchased the card as someone had wrote the code down and replaced the sticker with one that can be easily purchased from Amazon. They just needed to wait for you to activate it, then they could spend your money. Only purchase Gift Cards where the retailer protects your purchase by selling them behind a counter.
