Apple Time Capsule

I have an apple TC connected to my Fios router via Ethernet cable. The router is new, less than 2 years old. The TC is creating my wireless network which I have extended via 2 AirPort Express. My internet speed is 300mps upload and download. Here’s my problem: at a certain time of the day, my internet gets very slow, with latency issues, usually in the evenings and usually while my son is playing fort nite. Typically not much else in the house is consuming bandwidth. The ATC is ancient. Over 10 years if not closer to 15-20.

I am thinking about increasing my Verizon Fios speed to 1 Gig. But is the real problem that the TC and AE are slowing things down so that no matter what the speed is into the home the network signal is being slowed but the limited capabilities of the TC and AE?

I like having the TC connected to my network as a backup to my laptop PC. I used to own a MacBook.

Seeking some guidance on whether I should take the TC and AE off the network if that might not solve the latency internet issue. Thanks.
