Family sharing issues - child purchase asking for cvc code

I have set up a family sharing on the devices. My child has a large balance in her own Apple Store credit, and when she wants to purchase an app it asks for my cvc on my credit card. All my details are up to date, I just don’t want it to keep taking funds from the credit card when she has a large balance in store credit.
