Notifications from one contact never appears on my Apple Watch SE

I have a really weird problem on my Apple watch SE. I will never get text notifications from one specific contact. If I’m not wearing the watch they will appear on my phone and make a sound. The contact is not muted. I have deleted and re-added the contact. The watch will always act like they are muted. I will have no clue this person tried to reach out to me until I check my phone. I have zero problems with any of my other contacts. Has anyone seen this or know how to fix it?
