Buying iPhone 16 pro in mainland China (which lacks the AI tech), would it still be the same when using the same phone but in a different country?
I really want to use the AI tech but I am currently living in China and I am going to another country in a few month. Would it be ok to buy the phone here if i want to use the AI tech later on?

The restrictions on devices sold in China follow the device regardless of where it is used.
It will never have AI. It will never be able to use facetime audio. Search engine selection will be restricted.
If you are not a Chinese citizen, do NOT buy a device in China.

That’s a risk. Can you say exactly when China will permit AI? If/when China approves AI are you sure your iPhone will be compliant with any and all restrictions? That’s a big leap of faith.
