I am replacing my older Mac Mini with the latest version and will therefore lose the USB-A port which I use to connect with a Seagate external drive. Is it possible to get a replacement cable for the thunderbolt port?

Apple does sell USB-C to USB-A cables. Thunderbolt uses the same USB port type as USB-C.
Of course, I'm assuming that your external Seagate drive is equipped with a USB-A type port.

Ok, then in this case, you should be able to use a simple USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect this drive to your mini.

Thanks for your reply but no the Seagate doesn’t have any USB. It’s the cable which plugs into a USB-A so it’ll be redundant with the new Mac Mini.
