How to connect my Sony camera to my Apple laptop

I used to connect my Sony camera to my old Laptop to use when I wanted to do Ebay .. My new laptop will not fit the older connection cable ... any advice please ?

If you were making the old connection via USB-A, probably all that you need is a USB-C to USB adapter. Getting a USB memory card reader and transferring the card from the camera to the reader might be another possibility.


If you have an old MiniDV or Digital8 camcorder, and you were plugging it in using FireWire (IEEE 1394, iLink) to import digital video, finding hardware to let you make a proper connection would be a lot harder.
