Apple Pencil Pro: Squeeze "Tool Palette" doesn't work for left-handed users

I have an iPad Pro (M4) and an Apple Pencil Pro that I just purchased. The squeeze "tool palette" wasn't working for me: it's almost as if the pencil cursor is misaligned when trying to select various tools in the palette wheel. Not only do you have to aim a little higher than the actual selection, but it's inconsistent too. When I move to my right hand, though, I have no issues whatsoever. It has something to do with the way the pencil is held, but there's no way to change it to left-handed orientation. For something this basic and integral to having a Pencil to begin with, it not working because someone is left-handed seems like a total oversight. Has there been a fix?
