I desperately need an answer to the frequently viewed section of Safari.

My husband and I both have IPhone X.Please respect that I am not looking for marital counseling. Recently I inadvertently found (and I seriously was not looking for it he left it open and said I could use his phone) under frequently visited on safari three websites. Our bank account a chat site and a standard adult site. He says that the chat site was not actually a chat site but pop ups from a regular adult site that he would close immediately. I have tried to find the answer to this but I can not. Does anyone know if pop ups that happen when you visit a website that you immediately close can be chosen by the Safari algorithms and placed under frequently visited. Everything I have read on it leads me to believe that no it would not and I find thin highly unlikely but as you can imagine it is important for me to know. Thank you in advance.
