I gave my old phone to a family member and even though I have a new iCloud account open, it still asks for my account for updates and app downloads. How can I fix this?
The phone wasn't reset properly, as is instructed in this article. What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
If you do not want to do all those things, at least make sure your disable Find My and also delete any apps downloaded with your account. The prompts for a different Apple ID are being produced by those apps which can only be updated using the account that downloaded them originally.
