I need to download an older version of Bonjour for iTunes 12.1 - using on a Win11 64-bit PC

I have an iPod that I still use. Apple no longer supports the iPod and newer versions of iTunes don't either.

Bonjour is a network discovery tool. It shouldn't be used in the syncing of iPods. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates - Apple Community for links to older builds of iTunes (the most recent are at the very bottom). There is a section of the user tip that describes how to extract individual component .msi files out of the iTunes64Setup.exe installer, but I think you are on the wrong track here.

If you are using the Microsoft Store version of iTunes it may pay to uninstall that and swap to the standalone installer that you can find here:

If iTunes still won't recognize your device see iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows - Apple Community which despite the title also applies to non-iOS iPods.
