Setting up second eSIM

iPhone 14 Plus, I have one eSIM active and getting ready to set up a second eSIM from a different carrier. Do I need to disable the first eSIM before setting up the second one? Or, just proceed with set up while the first one is active. The first eSIM is using AT&T network (not AT&T) and the second eSIM will be using Verizon network (not Verizon Wireless)

Thank you in advance.

I don't recall having to "turn off" an eSIM to add another. You will have to take USmobil's word to "turn off" (Disable?) the first eSIM. Or, will you you be "deleting" first eSIM?

This might make sense if you are not planning to continue to use CC. Otherwise, you can "Disable" the first eSIM.

Maybe another USmobil customer who has set up a second eSIM will see this post and help out / clarify.

My phone is unlocked. I got my phone directly from Apple, unlocked phone.

my carrier ic CC using AT&T network. Second eSIM is from USMobile using Verizon network. USmobil told me to turn off the first eSIM before setting up USmobile eSIM. I want to use CC eSIM as primary and USMobile eSIM as secondary. This is the first time I’m installing second eSIM and I just want to make sure C eSIM to stay as primary ant over taken by USM eSIM.

Am I over thinking?

I appreciate any advice.

Thank you for your reply Bob,

I turned off CC sim and installed USM sim. Seems everything going on OK.

Still I don’t know why I had to turn off CC sim. Only thing I see which may caused by turning off before installation is the list shows USM service first.

Now, (since this is the first time working with dual sims) I am in process of learning of working with active dual sims which Apple does good job on explaining.

Thank you very much for your support. I really appreciated.
