Just received a text stating that $143.95 charge that is pending and I need to call 1-*******5 to verify that this is a fraudulent charge

I just received the same message with the same amount as well. I figured it was probably a phishing scam, but I'd never received or seen a message like this before. And, yeah, the bad grammar was a tip off also. "That looks like suspicious to us." LOL Glad I checked, though.

Probably a scam.


Apple does not send texts about purchases and if you don't see the charge on your payment method's statement, then it doesn't actually exist.


The provided number is very likely a scam number meant to get you to divulge personal details to the person on the other end.
