Image Capture no longer work after Sequoia 15.1.1 upgrade

I just upgraded to Sequoia 15.1.1 and when I try to use Image Capture to scan over wifi with my Epson 2720 I get an error message

" The operation couldn't be completed.

(com.apple.imagecapture error 4294957394.)

This process worked fine a few days ago and I've used it to print today numerous times with no problems,

so the Mac mini and Epson are communicating, so what gives?

The only community answers relative to the error message are from 2 years ago.
