combine contacts with a family member

I can't seem to find how to combine or merge contacts with my wife, who is a Family Member. We both have iOS 18.1.1 and Sonoma 14.6.1 (and it used to work)

Add both accounts to each device. So you would add drdavedmin@xxxx.com and wife@email.com to your iPhone and Mac. She would add the same accounts to her devices.

Thanks much. I think I got confused with all the switching around of settings/preferences in iOS 8. Back on target again. Essentially we use only my copy of contacts so I would probably not need her account on my devices.
