Video shot on the iphone has all that wonderful location data....including maps!....can I see that once footage is transfered to fcpx? Or is it only possible while video is on phone? Thanks.

Go to the Info inspector and change it to Settings to use that as the basis for your custom metadata view. From the popup menu select Edit Metadata View.
In the window that appears search for Longitude and Latitude and check them on. They will then appear at the bottom of Settings.
You can save it as a custom view. It will look better on a video monitor. A little more Legible.
The metadata can be carried over but the display functionality like the map isn’t available there.
