Transferring 11gb screen recording file from 2012 MacBook to 4th Gen iPad

I recently screen recorded a group call on my 2011/2012 MacBook Pro that is running Catalina 10.15.7. The file is a QuickTime Movie, Codecs are AAC H.264. I am trying to airdrop the file to my iPad as I use a video editing software on it and find the iPad more user friendly. The file airdrops okay and goes straight into my photos but then it shows as having no audio and then will not play as it has the message in the corner saying ‘Unable to load video/ an error occurred when loading a higher-quality version of this video’. I have tried converting the file to an mp4 and the same thing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The file plays perfectly on my MacBook and can be uploaded and edited on iMovie on my MacBook.
