Question

Unable to send emails from iCloud Mail.

I cannot send mail from my @icloud.com email address on my iPhone 14 Pro … all other devices are working fine but my iPhone 14 is my master device and I’ve been trying for the past 24 hours+ to solve this.

i can log in via Safari & all works and send but not from the Mail app. I get the message “Cannot Send Mail The Sender address was invalid”

i have signed out and signed back in … still doesn’t work.

My iPhone is showing “iCloud+” subscriber … could this be why ??

any help appreciated.

Congratulations! Yes, each email account will have a different username and password.

iCloud+ simply means that you are using a paid iCloud service to expand your iCloud storage and enable other features such as Private Relay. It has nothing to do with email. Are you sure you are sending from your iCloud address, and not some other email account?

Hi there

I deleted the gmail version on my mail accounts and reinstalled it and this has worked !

clearly the gmail app login was incompatible with the login for @icloud.

I did a password reset the other day and this hadn’t transferred across.

problem solved … get me!!

I’m fairly certain … is there a way to verify this? I’m signed in on my iCloud account which is the email I want to use …

all my other email addresses are fine (domain & gmail based …)

I’ve just checked and I am definitely sending from the correct email address.
