iPhone credit card sharing

My spouse is the manager of our shared subscriptions. Consequently, he also controls the credit card we share. I used to be able to make a purchase on my iPhone and have our designated preferred credit card pop up and auto fill the card information. He recently updated his iphone to an iPhone 16, and now I can no longer auto fill the credit information, even though I have our shared credit card checked as my preferred card. I have to manually enter the card number every time. What do we need to do so we can both use the auto fill feature for our preferred credit card? Thank you!
