Safari Screen Recording Icon Bug?

Hi,


I just update my Mac to MacOS 15.1.1. And I found that when Safari exiting full screen mode, the control center will show screen recording icon and said Safari just used the screen recording. The probability of this situation to happen is very high. You can reproduce it by repeatedly entering and exiting full screen mode.


This is about user privacy. Is this a bug? I didn't notice anything like this before this update. You can also check this video ***


My device: M2 MacBook Air

My OS: 15.1.1

Safari version: 18.1.1

Hi,

I have the same issue, I reported it & Apple confirmed that it is a BUG at Safari.

So it is a Safari bug issue.

They said with a new upcoming update they work on it to solve the issue.

However till it is solved, all our privacy is exposed cause of without our permission screen is recording. And even u open the second page or not, it just records from time to time no matter what u do.

So please anyone who goes tru this, contact Apple and tell this bug to be fixed ASAP.
