Why is there no sound from my iBasso on MacBook Air?

When I connect my ibasso DC elite and iem to fifth generation ipad 12.9 it works great. But when I connect it to my Macbook air M2. I get nothing. No sound. I downloaded the midi app from utilities. It didn't help. Perhaps I've got the midi app set to the wrong numbers. Help please.
