app “open” in Appstore but uninstalled in phone

i uninstalled my snapchat due to space issues, so later i freed up some space and tried installing it back. getting to app store it was “open” instead of the small cloud with the download icon. i was confused so i went to settings, in iphone storage it’s not included but if you go all the way down it’s there but like not showing properly it’s showing the grid like thing that comes out when you offload an app. i’m so tired i’ve force stopped my phone, i’ve restarted it, i’ve reset my phone settings still! idk what to do anymore. if y’all can help me out
