Whatsapp chat move from Iphone 15 to Pixel 9 pro issue
I have been trying for 5 days to move my whatsapp chats from Iphone 15 to Pixel 9 Pro in many ways and it keeps freezing at 97%. Only twice it has reached 98%.
I have spoken with Apple and pixel and they have informed this issue is not by their side.
I am using the original Iphone 15 c usb cable, all the systems are updated, and the screens are kept on all the time. The backup is saved in the Icloud, it is less than 3GB and there are no videos. I have google photos, google drive and google one installed on my Iphone.
I have tried to reboot pixel many times, scanned the QR code, moved manually clicking on Move to Android on Whatsapp, also the Samsung Smart swicth app (do not work) and the Google Switch to Android by wifi (they said the new version has the whatsapp option, but there is not).
I really don't want to go for a third party paid app because when I moved from Android to Iphone it has cloned my Whatsapp and broke all my privacy preferences in all my apps.
Can someone give me a light please? I have being reading many reviews, watching many tutorials and I can see that is a common issue but nobody is giving a solution.
Thank you.

The temporary solution I have implemented involves keeping WhatsApp on my Pixel 9 Pro linked with my iPhone 15. Despite spending extensive time liaising with Apple support—which was exemplary, involving remote access and a diligent effort to understand the problem—the support experience with Pixel was lacklustre. Their responses heavily relied on copy-pasting standard information from websites. WhatsApp's support was even less helpful, consisting of automated chatbot replies and generic email responses.
To address the issue, I left a negative review on the Google Play Store, highlighting the lack of human customer support from WhatsApp. I also filed a formal complaint through Google Play's feedback mechanism by following these steps:
- Open the Google Play app.
- Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Scroll down and select "Help and Feedback."
- Navigate to "Send Feedback" > "Get Started."
- Allow temporary access to device logs when prompted.
- Choose "Report an Issue" and select "Other."
- Write: "WhatsApp Move to Android Tool is not working. WhatsApp does not provide customer support with humans."
This action was informed by Google Play's policy on broken functionality, which prohibits apps that crash, freeze, or otherwise fail to function as intended. Additionally, WhatsApp's lack of direct human support appears to conflict with Play Store requirements for providing a valid and responsive customer support channel, as stipulated under the Store Listing and Metadata policy. Developers are required to offer a legitimate support email address and must ensure that their apps meet baseline functionality expectations, avoiding poor user experiences caused by unresolved technical issues or inadequate support systems.
Furthermore, Google Play's Functionality, Content, and User Experience guidelines specify that apps should deliver a consistent and functional user experience, including proper handling of transitions between devices. The failure of the "Move to Android" tool undermines this guideline. According to Google Play's enforcement process, persistent issues of this nature could be grounds for further scrutiny or action.
