13" MBP— I assume this is a Intel...

Have you shut down and restarted more than once since your "update" (?)

On an Intel mac:

—reset the System Management Controller Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

—and reset the NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

and compare your results.
