M3 MacBook Air not reducing charging to 80%

This month I purchased an M3 MacBook Air. I did set the Battery to low power mode "Always" to increase battery life. It has been at 100% since I plugged it in last week. I have tried the supplied MagSafe power supply and my USB-C power supply with no difference. Is there something else I need to do to activate the low power mode? Please advise. Thanks, Philgo
