Visual Basic window pop-up

Good day,

When I open MS Word of MS Powerpoint only (this does not happen when opening MS Excel), the following window pops up twice,

My system information is as follows:

Apple M3 Pro

macOS: Sequoia 15.1

Kindly advise how I can prevent these pop-ups.

Now, before anyone responds with, "this is a Microsoft issue", or "this is an Adobe issue", I have received those very responses from both companies (i.e., finger pointing at each other).

Which is why I am asking here, in hopes that someone else might assist me.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I would absolutely expect to be told this is an issue that Microsoft and Adobe need to resolve, as it is. This as this error has arisen before. This does look like a Microsoft stale-cache-somewhere bug with no means to automatically repair the cache, though.

And if the above-linked Microsoft Office cache surgery does not work, then removing and re-installing current versions of the two app suites, as well as a macOS update and macOS Safe Mode boot, and also removing any add-on security or cleaner apps, and testing again. Though would expect that has already been suggested by both Microsoft and Adobe.

Failing that, your next steps involve reinstalling macOS, and then current versions of the apps.

Failing that then finding replacement apps, as there are some fine alternatives to Office, and to whatever parts of Adobe you are here using. Neither of those apps are irreplaceable of course, albeit with some adjustments in familiarity required.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Replace Office, and install and use Adobe PDF tools only when strictly necessary. You did write “any”, there.
