Why is the date limit different on iOS and MacOS?

So I noticed that on iOS and iPadOS devices you can’t set the date Beyond January 1st 2038 at 3 PM EST the confusing thing is I discovered that I can on my Mac computers running newer MacOS Ventura and later this is really so why did iOS and iPadOS not get the same??

Adding to what LotusPilot said, "why" in regard to anything related to Apple is usually something none of us here, who are all just fellow users, can answer. Apple rarely explains the reasons behind any of their device, software or policy decisions.

May I ask, though, why is this important to you? If it's just curiosity, then all we can answer is "because that's how it is".

Regards.
