Unable to copy and paste from Internet

I have just purchased a MacBookAir M2 and new upgraded subscription to Office365 for mac and experiencing multiple IT issues. (I migrated everything from my old Macbook Air) One of issues is that when I try to copy and paste text from the Internet it doesn't work. A pop-up comes up about an incompatible add on - it was Endnote but I removed it and the issue persists. This is also sporadic as sometimes it does work but not at the moment. Any IT gurus who can help with this?
