iPhone 16 Pro Max Battery

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 13 to iPhone 16 Pro Max. I read that this phone can last for 20-23 hours, however I find that my phone only lasts 7-10 hours with constant use. Is this a sign of abnormal battery drain? I expected this phone to last much longer. Also in my battery's "most used" it always shows Home and Lock Screen as the most used which is strange to me since I have taken off widgets and turned off most settings. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
