HP. printers no longer working after installation of 15

Same problem with my HP OfficeJet 8600 printer and a new OfficeJet HP 8135e printer. HP support site implied no driver upgrades for older computers, 8600. Restarted both MacBooks and printers, restarted modem and router, etc. Thank goodness I have an old MacBook with Catalina which works beautifully with my 8600. These problems started after my upgrade to Sequoia 15.1.1 In my System Settings/Printers & Scanners no printers show up even though both are prominently displayed in my available networks. Looking for a clever solution, maybe even a fix in OS 15.1.1.x
