Password app access is locked

When I go to password list the page is locked.

You must enter your passcode to open Passwords, or use TouchID or FaceID, whichever your iPhone has. If you have Stolen Device Protection enabled you can only use the biometric (Touch or Face) method.

Ugraded passwords in Password app not saving/updating I have some security warnings in the Password App. When I take the option of "upgrading" the password it takes me to a smaller window and the relevant site. I could change the password but the Password app then hasn't updated the password even though I remain in the app. I've been locked out of a number of accounts as a result and had to recover/change my password using normal methods. What do I need to do to get the Password app to save the changed password when done from within the app?

So thankful for the response. It was after visit to Apple Store that ‘passwords’ were locked. Neither face nor thumb will work. Rather peculiar … (me also)!
