You know that alternate Home Screen with the widget-like buttons that you could tap between buttons to get the normal Home Screen?
Well that doesn’t work anymore.
Desperate, I clicked the large right side button. That worked.
Is this an intentional change or is something wrong?

Try to shut down your phone then turn it back on
Discovered accidentally that all I had to do was swipe sideways to the other Home Screen page. No reboot needed. But I think that works as well.
Updated to iOS 18 now cannot escape “widget screen” without clicking right side button
