Issues with FCP 11 Performance and Media Compatibility

Dear Apple Support,

I am experiencing several critical issues with Final Cut Pro 11 that are significantly impacting my workflow. Here’s a detailed summary:

1. Performance Issues:

• FCP 11 runs much slower, especially when editing 4K footage. Despite using a top-spec M3 Max MacBook Pro, I had to transcode my media to proxy files to achieve workable performance, which was unnecessary in previous versions.

2. Project Update Problems:

• After updating older projects to the FCP 11 format, many of my media files were marked as offline. Attempts to relink the files fail, as the software claims they are not the same media, even though they are. This has disrupted my ability to complete important projects.

3. Multi-Screen Transform Tool Bug:

• The transform tool becomes unresponsive on the second screen, forcing me to repeatedly disable and re-enable the tool or work on a single screen. This issue has existed in previous versions, and I’m disappointed it remains unresolved in FCP 11.

4. Frequent Crashes:

• The application sometimes crashes when I adjust audio directly on the timeline, causing me to lose progress and disrupt my workflow.

These issues are frustrating and hinder the efficiency I rely on FCP for. I hope these problems will be addressed promptly, especially those that have persisted across versions.

Has anyone else experienced these issues, or found workarounds for them?
